Our Work

The Molecular Evolution Laboratory is dedicated to using evolutionary tools to understand the molecular underpinnings of important processes and phenotypes including:

  • The biology of pregnancy
  • Evolution of genes X environment interactions
  • Mammalian phylogenetics
  • Rates of nucleotide sequence evolution
  • The evolution of the brain
  • Primate evolutionary genetics
  • We use a wide range of approaches to study these and other research topics. Fundamental to all of our studies is the idea that science should be conducted in an open and collaborative atmosphere. Please contact the lab if you are interested in collaborating or training opportunities.
